New flowers
Some are already known in the world such as "Moon dust" the blue dianthus.
Dendranthema and dahlias were so pretty to attract people's eyes.
Dianthus
"Moon Dust"by Suntory
Gypsophila
"My pink" by Kirin
Dendranthema
by Kirin
Some of the dendranthema do not have names yet. Quite fresh feeling to find just numbers on the name cards!
Dahlias have Japanese names.
White Dahlia "Yukimukae", something related
to snow. The pink one with yellow centre is "Hanabijin". Those are so beautiful.

Tokyo Flower Market
The weather is crazily hot in Tokyo. It seems there are less people at this time of the year at the flower market. Enjoy the virtual tour of Setagaya Flower Market in Tokyo! July 13

Symbol tree of the Pacific flora 2004. This is Juniperus chinensis cv. Pyramidalis, shaped like Kotobuki letter in Japanese (meaning a joy). 50 years old, 3 meter high and about 4.5meter width. Really an art of Bonsai.
Mone's water garden is also build. The original garden is in France. Flowers will be changed 4 times during the session. About 200 kinds of seasonal flowers will be shown.
World Garden Competition
Mr. David@Stevens and Ms. Julie Toll will represent England to join the competition. Both of the garden designers are gold medal winner of Chelsea flower show in the past. Good luck!

Flower Festival from Hong Kong
M Guddat
It is a bit of surprise that unbelievably many people were found at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay where the annual flower show is being held. This year's theme flower is 'pansy'. Garden designs, landscaping, floral art displays. You will find all kinds of works here from 7-14 March.
The venue became an oasis for busy Hong Kong people for this week. Flowers attracted me most were Orchids and Cattleyas. They were gorgeous and sold at very reasonable price! I bought for myself a plant of orchid which was only HKD30(2.25GBP). Now I have a pleasure to take care and hopefully it will blossom next spring.
